I joined the Tanaka lab in September 2006, and have since started work to earn a postgraduate degree here in UNSW in the School of BABS through the UIPA and funding from the Faculty of Science. The broad goal of my project is to find ways to understand the dynamics of infectious diseases. Specific aims include, but are not limited to, developing methods of visualisation of marker evolution based on the growing number of available molecular data. Since I arrived in UNSW I've had tons of stimulating conversations with very interesting people. Sydney is a beautiful place! The beaches are fantastic, and Sydneysiders are a lovely people. I hope to be able to see more of Australia. My most recent visits have been to ANU in Canberra, Griffith University in the Gold Coast. |
